Last month I celebrated yet another anniversary of my 21st birthday. Woohoo? My Dad was kind enough to get me a gift card to iTunes. (Thanks Dad!) I was going to troll through the new releases and see what there was to buy, but then I had another idea.
Why not ask the masses (all five of you that read this blog) what your favorite tournament songs are? You know, the ones that get you revved up and ready for battle. I'm curious to see what gets your blood pumping. And I might also happen to steal some of your muses in the process. ;)
So, fellow grapplers, what music gets you in the mood for carnage?!?!
Things are really, really bad.

oops, I put the wrong link in the first comment.
Try some White Zombie, Thunder Kiss '65. As soon as you hear the intro, you wanna' break some arms. If you can't get psyched to fight from that, then all is lost...

iTunes annoys me too much to use it, and I tend to avoid both carnage and competition. But I do love music (yay last.fm), so I'll stick up some songs for you anyway. Though as I'm currently going through a Liberace album, I'm not sure you'd be too keen to emulate my taste...
Anyway, mostly ignoring what you actually asked for, the five songs I've apparently listened to the most since I started scrobbling to last.fm three years ago:
Bizarre Love Triangle - New Order
Don't Talk To Me About Love - Altered Images
I Should Be So Lucky - Kylie Minogue
Don't Be Cruel - Elvis Presley
Super Trouper - ABBA
Not quite sure what that little playlist would do to somebody's competition mood, but it would be fun to find out. ;p
Brilliant idea.
For chilling out prior to the fight:
Mana: No Ha Parado De Llover
Reel Big Fish: Won't Back Down
Mana: Fe
For getting amped up prior to the fight:
No Use For A Name: Nailed Shut
Snuff: Caught In Session
Rock Sugar: Don't Stop The Sandman
Priestess: Lay Down
For getting REALLY amped up prior to the fight:
Andrew WK: I Get Wet
At The Gates: World Of Lies
For calming down after the fight:
Primus: The Toys Go Winding Down
Zebrahead: Blur
For sheer groove:
G3: My Guitar Wants To Kill Your Mama
Zebrahead: Waste Of Mind
Haven't competed yet...but I plan to put Switchfoot's "Mess of Me" on repeat...
I usually play music that makes me smile and relax. Adding "kill/carnage" music to the pre-fight adrenaline rush makes me too tense.
Often in the mix are:
300 Violin Orchestra ~ Jorge Quintero
Buster Voodoo ~ Rodrigo Y Gabriella
Get Up, Stand Up ~ Bob Marley
...and a lot of "world/latin" percussion and guitars.
Culture club: Do you really wnat to hurt me? :o)
No seriously, I love "I gotta a feeling" and two days ago I heard a song that I now love so much:
Duck Sauch: Barbra Streisand
